Getting Started

Welcome to the ForexAPI documentation. This REST API offers live currency quotes for over 140 currencies and a dynamic currency conversion calculator.

To start you will need an API key. If you don't have one, you can register for a free account.
To get a list of all supported currencies and currency pairs, please visit the Currencies page.
Our API operates using the OpenAPI 3.0 standard (spec).
Data can be returned in JSON, XML and CSV formats. The default format is JSON.

How we measure API usage

Our measurement of usage is based on the content of the queries rather than the number of requests sent to the server. This approach ensures a fair and transparent way to track your API usage. For details regarding the query costs, please consult the documentation for the respective endpoints.
